travel united states nevada walker lake
Walker Lake (Agai Pah, "trout lake" in Northern Paiute) is a naatural lake in the Great Basin in western Nevada with US Route 95 running along the western shore.
With a drops in inflow from the Walker River, and increased evaporation, the salts have increased dramatically and fish no longer live there.
It is a quite beautiful area and features several primkative camping areas.
The rocky bluffs of the Wassuk Range along the west shore are supposedly home to bighorned sheep.
I have never seen the sheep, but the geology of these bluffs form fantastic shapes and colors that you have to see to believe.
